Tina Davies X Permablend Pigment 'Drop'

Many of you who are new to Permablend and the I ❤️ Ink Pigment Collection have complained that it’s hard to get the pigment into the skin or that it's not showing up properly.

This is happening because you’re not used to it’s thinner consistency and you’re stroking a bit too fast and not giving the pigment a chance to actually hit the skin.

In order to avoid this, make sure you let the pigment “drop” onto the skin and make contact before you stroke. This will ensure that you are not microblading with a dry needle.

You'll need to make sure you microblade to the "sweet spot" and that may take you anywhere from 1-3 passes depending on your technique. The important thing to remember here is that there is no specific amount of passes you need to make as this can vary. Your goal is to make sure the stroke hits the dermis so make sure you let the pigment "drop", stroke, then wipe to check your deposit.  If it's not there, repeat and go slower.  To read about my top microblading tips, check out my Foundations of Microblading Blog Post

Pro tip: only dip a little pigment at a time and be sure to wipe your needle frequently so it remains clean and void of buildup.
